The 2026 NAMM Model Bourgeois Custom Baritone Aged Tone Adirondack/Walnut Slope Shoulder Dreadnought is a guitar that immediately changes how you think about the low end. This is Bourgeois’ first commercially available baritone, inspired by custom instruments originally built for Zac Brown, and it arrives with a simple, elegant design that lets the concept speak for itself. With an Aged Tone Adirondack spruce top, walnut back and sides, and a classic slope-shoulder dreadnought body, this guitar feels familiar at a glance but reveals something much deeper once it’s in your hands.
The longer 27 inch baritone scale gives this instrument its unmistakable voice. The Adirondack top delivers clarity, headroom, and definition, even when tuned down, while the walnut body keeps the response focused and dry with a woody, articulate low end. Notes bloom slowly and evenly, creating a wide, piano-like foundation that works beautifully for alternate tunings, cinematic textures, and rhythm-driven songwriting. The slope-shoulder body softens the attack just enough to keep the sound warm and musical, never muddy or overwhelming.
